Thrift.

So since my house is filled with unwrapped presents, no one is allowed over for fear of snooping. Today, I took my sister to one of the cutest thrift stores in town and of course snapped some pics too!!

Stamp the night away.

I've been super busy today making new merch! Who knew my sister could market me so well at her work. She sported pair of my festive ornament earrings to work one night and ended up selling it a few hours later. When I went to drop off more I was overwhelmed by all the girls who wanted a pair. I had so much fun personalizing the muslin pages with my handmade stamp, I can't wait to pass them out!

Happy Holidays!

Christmas is officially in the air (seriously though, I can smell Christmas tree from outside our house). We had a rocky start when decorating when we realized we didn't have any tree lights, then found some, then found more that were half blown out. I'd like to think I got my mom's way of working things out!

Although this is not Boot's blog debut, she deserves more blog time, so here she is being adorbs in her cute new festive collar!

You may not notice, but I was also very crafty with the fact that we had no ornament hanger thingy majigs. So I used bakers twine! (3 crafty points for Sara!)
No holiday would be complete without you and your boyfriend being ridiculously cheesy with your two cats! No fear there will be a much better one in "Winter" attire. (If you didn't know I live in Georgia.. It was 70 degrees today.. needless to say, I don't own winter clothes)

Instamemories : November

Another month gone, wow, time really does fly! November was great, and congrats to anyone who participated in Movember. November was filled with leaves, hot cocoa and a reminder that it's almost Christmas (and that I have a lot of stuff to get done!) So this month consisted of (from top left to bottom right) 1. Thrifting (and finding this adorable Tom Thumb typewriter) 2. Soaking up all the suns warmth while playing tag with my little sister during Thanksgiving break. 3. OhSo's first ever DIY! 4. Starbucks with friends. I hope you all have a very safe and stress-free holiday.

The leaves are changing

The holidays and I have a very love-hate relationship. I love buying gifts, decorating, and visiting family. While absolutely hating traffic, waiting in lines, and family members not telling me what they want for Christmas (cough cough Mack). So I shall spend my days attempting to make gifts (Oh yea, did I tell you I'm doing a "Handmade Christmas")! Hopefully every gift will be handmade, except for select few, meaning all the men.

Dinner Party : Hot Pot Style

So our amazing friends Matt and Claire (who live 2 hours away) came down for the holidays. It was so sweet of them to think of my lifestyle to bring an entirely vegetarian hot pot. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the meal.  I was pleasantly surprised with the array of vegetables and different types of tofu, and hope that this tradition between friends continues.

Semi Studio Tour

Every crafter has to have a space that is just for them, to be inspired, to work in or to just relax. When looking for houses I knew I had to have a studio (and so did Mack). It has been "in progress" since we moved in, and I'm sure I'll never be fully done with it. So here is a small glimpse at OhSo Studio!

(No visit to my studio is complete without Canary trying to get into stuff. )

P.S. - with the holidays getting closer and closer I may not be able to post as much (sad face) BUT! I will try to post more from my phone and take some pictures every now and then of the amazing inspiration that has been coming my way!

Rock.

There are times when a relationship is hard, you feel like everything is bursting at the seams. There are times when it is normal, nothing interesting, same old same old. Then there are times when it thrives, when there has been no higher point than the one you are at now, this was tonight. I always know how important he is but sometimes it hits harder than ever, how much he means to me, how strong he is for the both of us,  these moments make me so glad I found him. I try to let him know how much he means to me with handmade things (cards, doodles, shadow boxes) or just stopping time to tell him I love him. He is a man, most men don't ever know what to say (and although he is guilty of this too) he really comes through when I need him most. He is my inspiration, he is my air, he is my everything, he is my rock.

Im gonna wreck it!

Last Friday we went to the Drive-in again! I had so much fun and was so excited to see Wreck-it-Ralph and Hotel Transylvania. Mack and I have been so excited to see Wreck-it-Ralph since Disney, when they had a exhibition up. Mack being into old school games, was eager to see what characters where to be included in the movie. He was happy to see characters from Street Fighter and Q-bert. The movie was really awesome and lived up to the standards of Pixar and easily will have the legacy Toy Story has.

Instamemories.

October is gone, as you can see it took me a while to admit it. I love October, it's sad to see it go. However,  November is here and with that a new segment I will be doing every month, I will upload some Instagram photos that highlight the month. (Since this is the 1st time the layout may change month to month) (From top left to bottom right) : 1. Canary and Boots admiring our new coffee table. 2. An amazing vintage camera I thrifted. 3. A Mickey Mouse pumpkin at Disney 4. Our mantle all dressed for the Halloween.

A special thanks to : Pugly Pixel for the tape strips pattern:   http://www.puglypixel.com/2011/02/17/free-clip-art-tape-strips-patterns/

Thrift.

I love thrifting, I mean who doesn't! One of my favorite places to go is right over the 13th Street bridge from Downtown Augusta, SPCA Treasure Chest. Mack and I happened upon this place after an eye appointment one day. There were a couple of women talking outside, one of them holding open the door. Us, loving adventure and new things decided to stop in and I immediately fell in love. Glassware, animal supplies, clothes books, furniture , household appliances (we got our washing machine and Macks studio couch here) and so much more! Going in every week or so we've gotten to know the staff pretty well, they are all so sweet and I find myself wanting to go just to catch up with them! Not only are the prices great but all the money you spend goes to helping animals! If you would like to donate,  .adopt, or shop the store is located at 519 Georgia Avenue in North Augusta, SC.

The Wall is back.

This is one of my cats, Canary. She would appreciate it if everyone held in there while I get my inspiration back, because the Wall has come back.

Halloween.

I loved Halloween this year, since we have the house I was able to pass out candy as a home owner!! After a whole whopping 10 kids we went with my mom and other sisters to trick-or-treat. I had so much fun, but my least favorite part is that Halloween is now over, but we always have next year! Plus I am super excited the other holidays are coming up, I already hear Christmas music!

The Big Mo.

This weekend my family and I went to a drive-in. Less than an hour drive I weighed the pros and cons once we were there and I will defiantly be making the drive back whenever there are movies we like. this time we saw Frankenweenie and Hotel Transylvania. Both super cute movies, I'd encourage anyone to see them (and to give drive-ins a chance if you live close to one).

What you love.

I've taken many deep breaths over the past few days. The Wall is a very hard thing to conquer. I decided to take some time to just relax (something i don't think I've done since our Disney vacation). So after several walks around the neighborhood, and the destruction of several home decorating magazines, the Wall has just barely been knocked down.

The Wall.

Every so often I run into this Wall, I do not like the Wall. Sometimes it stays in my way for days, sometimes weeks (I think I'm coming up on weeks) It's always so upsetting because every moment of anything productive I do revolves around OhSo. If I could hit the Wall I would, but I've only found ways of breaking it down ever so slightly when it does appear. All I can do is do things that inspire me, which I'm going to post here in hopes it may help bring down my Wall (or yours).

A Beautiful Mess is my blog crush, her blog is everything I want to make OhSo. I've been writing down new ideas all morning (and all last night) and always find amazing inspiration in her posts. She writes about everything from fashion, DIY and inside her own life. She is hands down my hero.

Tomorrow is no exception, First up is Lindsay and Scott's couple shoot and after that I'll be attending another Fence Sitter rave. So make sure to stay tuned but I leave you with so more photos from Disney World.

Saying goodbye.

Today was our last day at the park, Magic Kingdom. We used this extra Magic Kingdom day to do things we couldn't do on Sunday. Meet characters, ride rides, and get pictures we didn't get. Overall a very relaxing day, and a surprise day! My older sister, Brittney, drove 8 hours to be with us on our last day! Here are a couple of pictures from my favorite moments!

Hollywood Studios!

Another Disney day, this time at Hollywood Studios! There isn't as much to do at this park, but we filled our time up quickly gathering fastpasses to all the best rides. We were one of limited people to get a fastpass for Toy Story Midway Mania (which had a minimum wait time of 70 minutes)  the 3D interactive shooting game. All my practice on the Wii version sure did help out, I kicked Macks butt! From there we watched the Pixar Parade, met characters, and ate at Pizza Planet. Somehow I was also tricked into riding The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (I will not admit I was scared to death)

Day 2: Magic Kingdom

First day at Magic Kingdom! We counted down the opening with Mickey Mouse and friends, once the gate was open it was straight to Tomorrowland. Mom and I already had a plan to do that first because it wouldn't be that crowded. We all hopped on Buzz Lightyear's Space Rangers spin without a problem. From there the day just kept getting better, next was Stitch's Great Escape, Monsters Inc. Laugh floor (which was by far my fav!) I also learned what I did and didn't need to take with me in my bag.
