Villains Unleashed

Our 1st Halloween party was a success! Most everyone who was invited attended, and everything went splendidly! Here are just some of the photos, I've posted the rest on flickr. Are you hosting or attending a Halloween Party? I'd love to hear about it in the comments section!

Pet Spotlight : Boots

I recently realized that although my pets may appear in photos you don't know much about them, I thought I'd do a little segment (not sure when others will be posted) to tell you a little bit more about my pets.

This is Boots, we rescued her (along with Canary and their babies) from a local cemetery, out of all the stray cats I would have never thought that Boots would've been one of the ones we took home. Mack really loved her, she was distant but had her playful moments.

On the stairs is her favorite place to sleep, not in the way but not left out. Although she loves being around Mack and I she gets very skittish when company comes over, or hears the doorbell (even if it comes from the TV). She darts under the bed and doesn't come out till the coast is clear.

We have become so much closer over the past few months than the, almost, 2 years I've known her. It's taking me a while to understands exactly what she wants when she meows though, but we're working on it.

Do you have pets? I'd love to hear about them, write a comment in the section below!

Love Aiken

Mack had his first Saturday off in what feels like forever! Our original plan was to go to yard sales and antique/thrift stores, but the yard sales were scratched once I realized we just needed big furniture and our car wouldn't be able to carry anything. We did however end up going to Aiken. We went to SPCA, unfortunately the only thing I got was a mini deck of trading cards for 25 cents. After that we just drove around taking pictures and stopping into more stores. It was a very productive yet relaxed day.

Saw this amazing 1960's Barbie lunchbox.

My Nana's cat Ashley decided to crawl into this bag, I was lucky to have gotten the picture.

Cat Christmas

What would Christmas be without adorable cats? I love buying the cats cute outfits, collars and festive attire. I love it even more when they actually cooperate for pictures, it really is a Christmas miracle.
 Monkey being .. well Monkey.
 Canary being ridiculously photogenic.
Cats being cats, they really do sleep all the time.

Happy Holidays!

Christmas is officially in the air (seriously though, I can smell Christmas tree from outside our house). We had a rocky start when decorating when we realized we didn't have any tree lights, then found some, then found more that were half blown out. I'd like to think I got my mom's way of working things out!

Although this is not Boot's blog debut, she deserves more blog time, so here she is being adorbs in her cute new festive collar!

You may not notice, but I was also very crafty with the fact that we had no ornament hanger thingy majigs. So I used bakers twine! (3 crafty points for Sara!)
No holiday would be complete without you and your boyfriend being ridiculously cheesy with your two cats! No fear there will be a much better one in "Winter" attire. (If you didn't know I live in Georgia.. It was 70 degrees today.. needless to say, I don't own winter clothes)

Dinner Party : Hot Pot Style

So our amazing friends Matt and Claire (who live 2 hours away) came down for the holidays. It was so sweet of them to think of my lifestyle to bring an entirely vegetarian hot pot. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the meal.  I was pleasantly surprised with the array of vegetables and different types of tofu, and hope that this tradition between friends continues.

(You didn't really expect a post without Canary right?)

Semi Studio Tour

Every crafter has to have a space that is just for them, to be inspired, to work in or to just relax. When looking for houses I knew I had to have a studio (and so did Mack). It has been "in progress" since we moved in, and I'm sure I'll never be fully done with it. So here is a small glimpse at OhSo Studio!

(No visit to my studio is complete without Canary trying to get into stuff. )

P.S. - with the holidays getting closer and closer I may not be able to post as much (sad face) BUT! I will try to post more from my phone and take some pictures every now and then of the amazing inspiration that has been coming my way!

The Wall is back.

This is one of my cats, Canary. She would appreciate it if everyone held in there while I get my inspiration back, because the Wall has come back.

Halloween.

I loved Halloween this year, since we have the house I was able to pass out candy as a home owner!! After a whole whopping 10 kids we went with my mom and other sisters to trick-or-treat. I had so much fun, but my least favorite part is that Halloween is now over, but we always have next year! Plus I am super excited the other holidays are coming up, I already hear Christmas music!

What you love.

I've taken many deep breaths over the past few days. The Wall is a very hard thing to conquer. I decided to take some time to just relax (something i don't think I've done since our Disney vacation). So after several walks around the neighborhood, and the destruction of several home decorating magazines, the Wall has just barely been knocked down.

Stray.

If you don't know me, I am a sucker for cats, and no matter where I can't seem to escape them. Mack and I went out to Graniteville to see if we could enter the abandoned mills. Upon searching for an entrance I noticed a cat manning the security booth. Once stopped they all seemed to appear and disappear. The time there was short because of the storm clouds ahead. What saddened me most was the possibility of the only food they could have gotten in days had been ruined by rain. An unorthodox addition to my camera bag is now a can of cat food.

Caution! Will Melt Heart.

My sister recently rescued a kitten she found at her apartment complex. She was severely injured, but the vet had said she would be fine within a few weeks. Which means, New kitten!!! She has won over all of our hearts with her preciousness. So, I proudly present... Bonnie.
