In Augusta, GA there are so many historic buildings that could use renovation, however in the case of the Southern Milling Company its time will never come. In 2008 the building caught fire causing the streets surrounding it to be closed down. Any chance of this building having a future was lost in that fire. As beautiful as I find it, this place is perched next to the Savannah River. Water has flooded the foundation, mixed with oil and become a stagnant sludge. Its only inhabitance is a hoard of dragonflies.
