I heart MU!

One of our favorite things to do is go to the drive-in and with the release of Monsters U what better way to see one of the summers biggest blockbuster? With the gates opening at 7, we left super early in hopes of being one of the first people in line, we were 30 or so cars behind but were still lucky to get a good spot. The movie was amazing and worth the wait, Unfortunately I ended up falling asleep during Iron Man 3, but we still had a great time!

Summer fun

During the summer I always try and find fun things to keep my little sister occupied, with Monsters Universities release I've found so many projects, one of them at Lowes. Most Saturdays Lowes has "Build and Grow" workshops. This was our first one and we had a blast, We put together a Monster University chest!

She is a natural with a hammer, completing her box before I finished mine.

Once we were done I made sure to get a picture of us and our boxes! We can't wait for the next project!

Stray part 2.

My full time job is basically rescuing stray kittens. 

A Series of Unfortunate Events

I was recently going through some boxes in our garage when I stumbled upon one that was tucked under quite a few. As with many boxes, one may not know exactly what's in it until you open it. When I did, I was delighted to find some of my old books. Pulling them out was like stepping back into the past when I'd seen them on the shelf at my local bookstore. I remember a conversation my father and I had while I read a book asking him if he would buy it for me, and the next one, and the one that came after that, my father, being a very simple man, responded "I'll always buy you any book you want". I knew my father treasured that I enjoyed reading. He kept his word, buying me the entire series of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Those books were my life, well at least from October of 2005 to October of 2006. I am currently rereading the series now in hopes to find some inspiration.

Botanical Gardens.

After the Birmingham Zoo Brittney and I made our way to the Botanical Gardens. Inside we found a store called Leaf and Petal, where we looked around and shopped for quite a bit.
