The past.

Recently I was talking to my grandparents about our trip to Disney World, when my grandpa mentioned they had gone. I knew at one point they lived in Florida, but did not know they had gone to Disney. Since my grandpa is constantly taking pictures of family events I knew he had to have taken pictures while at Disney. Then i thought vintage Disney (I almost couldn't contain myself, almost faint #1). Well eventually he brings out shoeboxes filled with pictures ( almost faint #2) some filled with old cars, some landscapes (almost faint #3) and then my grandparents wedding (almost faint #4). I can easily say I hadn't seen 95% of them. It was amazing to see my grandparents when they were younger, the wedding, and our family from Germany. The only sad part of this is that the Disney photos weren't in these boxes, and I have yet to see them.. One day. 

Zoo

Sorting through hundreds of photos is really no fun, especially since I have a terrible system. Instead of adding the date like a normal person I add folders to my desktop like "Rave" or "Zoo" which is ridiculous , considering both of those things happen fairly often. Anyways, I have sorted through the zoo photos. Mack and I drove to Columbia, SC to the Riverbanks Zoo, which is always fun because I LOVE Columbia. There are so many memories we have there (one being that we almost had to move there for his school.. luckily we found alternatives)! Basically I'm saying this city is awesome! 

My Weekend.

Yeah, I know it's Tuesday, but in my defense Mack has been very sick so it has basically been a very long weekend. Here are some pictures that sum this "weekend" up. 

Katy and I at "Escape to Kandiland" rave! I had so much fun and our kandi-ravers really went all out. Unfortunately I couldn't find my bag of kandi, but luckily everyone had me covered!

I finally got a pinboard! Yay to bringing my pinterest addiction into the real world! 

I started making a Disney Memory(tray/board)! I made one of these about a year ago to show our growth as a couple through various songs that mean a lot to us.

Disney Blues

It has only been 4 months since my last Disney visit and the "Disney Blues" (a real thing, i swear.. also known as a Disney hangover) are really kicking in. I've done everything from scrapbooking, to making a memory tray (pictures to come), Disney film marathons and online pin trading (I really shouldn't even get started on how lucky I am that I found such a great pinpal. Seriously she is awesome). Well last night I ended up spending wayyyyy to much time online looking at : Vintage disney, old disney rides, construction, maps, imagineer drawings. I think I've come to the conclusion I'm going mad. So to help cure my Disney Blues, I'll be uploading pictures from my October trip and even include some of my Smash book. What helps you cure your Disney Blues?

Journal

I had this feeling that 2013 was going to be a crazy one. I love scrapbooking (I get it from my mom) but I've never been good at journaling. I had everything I needed to make one, except for confidence that I would do it. Except, from reading other bloggers who do it, I learned that I don't have to do it every day, so I just do it on big days. It has been very helpful to get my thoughts down on paper. Since I'm no expert I won't tell you what you need, but I'll tell you something that helped me : have everything in one place, that way you aren't scrambling to find anything. I got the cutest vintage makeup case (at SPCA treasure chest for $4) and that is were all my supplies are. If I need to journal I just grab my case and go.

Zoo and more

Today has been so amazing! Mack and I woke up early to get a head start to our day. He'd been promising me a trip to the zoo for weeks, but the weather was just not cooperating. Columbia here we come!

Weekend.

What is more perfect than an event filled weekend with friends, family, and pets! Friday, Valentines Rave (Who doesn't love having arrows thrown at them?)  Saturday, taking Moo to the dog park, running into friends, and then there is Sunday, yeah.. time to relax.
